Square Dance? Are you serious? Actually, yes I am. Very. I have been calling square dances since 1988. I started calling the night I graduated my first class and haven't looked back. It's been a long road with many twists and turns - but if nothing else, it's been one heck of a ride so far. Through square dancing I'm met some of the greatest people I know. I can honestly say that I now know hundreds of people across NE and different parts of the country. Without square dancing, that would never have been possible. Every hobby and activity has those who stand out as great. Avid Cyclists would be thrilled with the prospect of meeting Lance Armstrong, chess players Bobby Fisher, etc. (Though I acknowledge, the latter is probably more difficult.) :) Square Dancing is no different, we too have our "elite" - those that stand above the rest. I have been fortunate enough to have worked with numerous people on the A-list and I've become better at what I do because of it. |
